made available to our newsmen by Evang Ben Ikuejamofo the Head of the media team of the Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor, Prof Odimayo said,
“I’m proud to say that our own Governor, His Excellency Gov Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is committed to improving quality healthcare delivery to the good people of Ondo State. . We have made significant strides in enhancing our healthcare infrastructure, training healthcare professionals and enhancing their welfare, and increasing access to life-saving treatments”.
Our healthcare workers are also committed to rendering quality services, including the diagnosis, treatment, and care of blood cancer patients.
However, there’s still much work to be done. We must continue to educate ourselves and others about the signs and symptoms of blood cancers, the importance of early detection, and the latest treatment options.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to get involved in the fight against blood cancer. Whether it’s through volunteering, donating to reputable organizations, or simply spreading awareness, every effort counts.
In an exclusive interview with Dr Alabi, a Consultant Haematologist of the UNIMEDTH, Akure by our correspondent, she said the major challenge with the management of blood related cancer is inadequate blood support. Dr Alabi said some forms of the blood cancer are difficult to manage and such patients would be on referral. She thereby encouraged the people of Ondo State to live healthy life as prevention is always better than cure. And be conscious of warning signs for appropriate early diagnosis and treatment plans.
Moreover , Prof Odimayo said, those living with blood cancer, are to be assured that we are here for you. We shall continue to provide the best possible care, support, and resources to help you navigate this journey.
Let’s work together to create a world where everyone has access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
