Following the circulation of a viral video showing Nollywood actress Regina Daniels in tears, saying, “I cannot stand the violence again,” her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has issued a response through an Instagram post.
In the post titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence,” the senator attributed their marital crisis to Regina’s alleged struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. According to him, the actress has become violent and destructive, claiming she hit three staff members, damaged cars, and broke windows within 48 hours.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. Sust continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
He further alleged that Regina relocated to a place where she could easily access drugs, adding that he had advised her to continue her rehabilitation, either in Asokoro, Abuja.
Nwoko also refuted allegations that he had ever been violent towards Regina or any of his wives, stating, “I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here.”
As of the time of this report, Regina Daniels has yet to issue a public response to her husband’s accusations.
